How to turn one idea into a week of short-form video

By Hanif Jadoon · 16 Oct 2026

Start with the hook

Every short video lives or dies in the first two seconds. Write the hook before anything else:

  • Lead with your strongest claim
  • Show, don't tell
  • Cut the setup

Keep the structure simple

A repeatable structure makes planning faster. Try this three-part shape:

  1. Hook
  2. Context
  3. Payoff

A short video is a promise to the viewer. Keep it.

One idea, several angles

The same idea can be retold without repeating yourself. Change the angle, the example, or the framing and the post feels fresh:

  • The "why it matters" angle
  • The "how it works" angle
  • The "what to avoid" angle

Planning a week of content this way is faster than starting from scratch each day, and it keeps your feed consistent while you find what resonates.
